Supported Voucher Types

ScaleCraft supports all major standard Tally vouchers:

  • Payment: Cash/Bank outflow to vendors, salary, rent, utilities.
  • Receipt: Cash/Bank inflow from customers, donations, fees.
  • Journal: Provisions, adjustments, accruals, depreciation.
  • Sales: Invoices with GST (CGST, SGST, IGST) breakdown.
  • Purchase: Supplier bills with Input GST credit.
  • Contra: Cash deposit into bank or cash withdrawal.

Golden Rules for Error-Free Import

  • Ledger Names: Spelled exactly as in your Tally company (e.g. PNB A/C NO. 2002002100060016).
  • Date Format: Any format like DD-MM-YYYY (e.g. 01-04-2025) is auto-converted to Tally's YYYYMMDD.
  • Amount Balance: Total Debits must equal Total Credits. ScaleCraft validates this automatically.
  • Auto-Create Masters: Agar aap naye ledgers create karna chahte hain to ise ON karein. ScaleCraft smartly Bank, Incomes, Expenses aur Parties ko unke sahi groups me daalega. Agar ledgers pehle se Tally me bane hain, to ise OFF rakhein.

Tally XML Secret (Learned from Files)

Tally has two types of XML:

  • Transactions.xml: Uses <TALLYREQUEST>Import Data</TALLYREQUEST> with <VOUCHER> tags. This is what ScaleCraft generates.
  • Master.xml: Uses <DSP...> tags which are display reports and cannot be imported back into Tally.
